The German Ambassador To Uganda Pays Maiden Visit To Arua Regional Office

The German Ambassador to Uganda H.E Matthias Schauer on Wednesday, 5th May, 2021 paid a maiden visit to the newly re-constructed Arua Regional Office.

His Excellency Schauer who was accompanied by the Country Director KfW Ms. Cornelia Penzel and the German Head of Cooperation Ms. Iris Knabe were led on a guided tour of the facility by the Assistant Auditor General-Corporate Mr. Francis Masuba. While addressing a cross section of invited guests and OAG Staff, the Ambassador appreciated the Resource Enhancement and Accountability Programme (REAP) for successfully managing the re-construction of the Office.

The Assistant Auditor General-Corporate in his remarks assured the Ambassador that the Office is committed to putting the new building to good use and ensure its proper maintenance.

He further thanked KfW for the continued cooperation and support which has enabled the Office of the Auditor General to acquire two other branch offices of Hoima and Moroto.

Present at the event was the Project Coordinator Mr. Johnson Mutesigensi (from REAP), Assistant Director Finance and Administration Mrs. Florence Baleke Businge, the Principal Auditor Arua Regional Office Mr. Martin Wamboza and Eng. Raymond Seremba among others.
