Assistant Auditor General

Mrs. Keto Kayemba was made the first Assistant Auditor General of The Republic of Uganda in October, 2007 to deputise the Auditor General. She joined the Office as an auditor in 1985, has worked in various directorates of the Office, at one time heading a branch office as a Senior Auditor in the 1990’s. She has moved through the ranks receiving multiple accelerated promotions through the period during which she served as the Accounting Officer and headed the Directorate of Central Government.

Mrs. Kayemba is a chartered Accountant and a Certified Information Systems Auditor with an MBA and also holds a B.Com. She has undertaken extensive training in Leadership and management, Information Systems Audit, Financial and Value for Money audit.

She is active in The International Organisation of Supreme Audit Institutions, INTOSAI/AFROSAI-E activities. She is also representing the Auditor General as an ex-officio member of the Council of The Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda, ICPAU. She is currently the President of ISACA Kampala Chapter. ISACA is the Information Systems Audit and Control Association, an international organization of Information governance, assurance and security professionals.

Mrs Kayemba is married and has three children.
